Amazon Boxing Day and January sale 2021: the best early deals

This year's Amazon Boxing Day sale is very close now. The final end-of-year discount bonanza officially starts on December 26 at the mega-retailer, but there are hundreds of massive discounts already live, with up to 70% off coffee machines, electric toothbrushes, home and beauty items, food, booze and more.

We expect many of the current deals to be carried over into Boxing Day, plus a fresh raft of offers on everything from TVs, laptops, headphones, smartwatches, gaming and more. Amazon usually offers some of the biggest reductions at this time of year, especially when it comes to electronics. Plus, where it doesn't beat other retailers on price, it'll usually match the Boxing Day sales from other major retailers such as Currys, John Lewis and Argos.

Here, we've rounded up the best deals in the early Amazon Boxing Day sale. Whether you're looking for tech, toys, fashion, beauty, DIY, home and garden, alcohol or other items, we've got you covered.

When does the Amazon Boxing Day sale start?

Amazon Boxing Day sales traditionally kick off as you would expect, on December 26. However, this year we were seeing Black Friday offers as early as October and there are still excellent offers flying off the shelves right now.

Not only that, but in recent years, Amazon's Boxing Day sales have started as soon as Christmas Eve. That means we would keep a close eye over the entire Christmas week. It's likely that those Boxing Day deals will merge into January sales in the week after as well.

How long will the Amazon Boxing Day sales last?

The Amazon Boxing Day sales usually taper off a couple of days after Christmas, but you won't be short of discounts in the week between. The January sales usually pick up right where Boxing Day left off, often with the same products discounted as well.

What does that mean for Boxing Day? Well, in short, it means that you need to be careful about which deals you pick up - if you're seeing something that you want, then now is the time to get it if it's a good deal.

Don't forget to use services like CamelCamelCamel to spot whether things have dropped in price too. That's often one of the ways we check to see if you're getting a fair deal.

Last year's best Amazon Boxing Day deals

Fitbit Charge 4: £129.99 £99.99 at Amazon
The Fitbit Charge 4 is one of the best fitness trackers you can buy today, and was only released earlier this year. It's the first Fitbit Charge to feature on-board GPS to track your outdoor activities without a smartphone. It also offers all-day heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring, contactless payments via Fitbit Pay and a lot more, all in a sleek, lightweight watch.

New Amazon Echo Dot + 6 months Amazon Music Unlimited free: £49.99 £29.99 at Amazon
Save £20 -
The new Amazon Echo Dot tooks its first price cut last month. You can still grab it for just £30 - not bad considering the smart speaker was only released in October and usually comes in at £50. Plus, you're even getting six months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free as well. You're unlikely to find this item cheaper in the Boxing Day sales.

PS5 games from £33.99 at Amazon
Amazon recently discounted a bunch of PS5 games down to £51.99, but we're seeing even bigger price drops available in the Boxing Day sales. You'll find Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and more up for grabs at some fantastic prices right now.

There's a £70 discount on this Shark anti-hair wrap vacuum cleaner in Amazon's Boxing Day sales - that's an even bigger price drop than earlier today. That's a great price for a flexible vacuum that won't get bogged down with tangled hair.

Sony WH-1000XM3 wireless headphones: £330 £216 at Amazon
This is close to the lowest deal we've ever seen for these Sony headphones. With over £100 off the original RRP, Amazon is giving you the chance to pick up Sony's excellent, top-of-the-line wireless and noise-cancelling cans for a fraction of the price.

Asus C433 14-inch touchscreen 2-in-1 Chromebook: £499.99 £398 at Amazon
Save £100 on this 14-inch touchscreen Chromebook, with premium 2-in-1 features that can easily switch the laptop between a conventional clamshell design and a tablet. That's usually a pricey feature and considering you're also getting a larger 14-inch display and 64GB of onboard storage here, this is a great price.

Panasonic TX-55HX580BZ 55-inch 4K TV: £499 £449 at Amazon
You can save £50 on this excellent 55-inch Panasonic 4K TV. Considering the size and quality of this display, £499 was already a great price, which makes that extra discount all the more exciting in Amazon's Boxing Day sales.

Apple Watch Series 5 GPS + Cellular: £749 £471.99 at Amazon
Save £277 on the Apple Watch Series 5. The previous generation still stands tall over cheaper models, with a larger and always-on Retina display and ECG functionality as well.
